Unroll the cold puff pastry and cut into regular strips 10-12 cm long by 5-6 cm wide. If necessary, chill for 10 min in the refrigerator.
- 2
Place a generous spoonful of chocolate spread on one end of each strip, without spreading too much.
- 3
Roll the pastry onto itself to form tight rolls, pressing the edges to seal well.
- 4
Beat the egg and brush the top of the rolls for a beautiful golden color.
- 5
Preheat the oven to 180°C (static heat). Place the rolls on a baking sheet with parchment paper, seam side down. Bake for 18-20 min until golden and crispy.
- 6
As soon as they come out of the oven, immediately add a small drizzle of chocolate spread on top of the hot rolls.
- 7
Immediately sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts and let cool slightly before serving.

- For a perfect golden finish, brush the rolls with a beaten whole egg.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a glass of cold milk.
- Variations: replace hazelnuts with almonds or peanuts, use dark chocolate, add a pinch of cinnamon, or double the filling with jam or caramel.
