
Skillet Potatoes with Ground Beef and Carrots

Prepare the vegetables: peel and cut potatoes into 2-3 cm cubes. Dry them well. Peel and cut carrots into smaller cubes. Slice the onion and chop the garlic. Chop the herbs.

Cook the potatoes: heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet. Add potatoes in a single layer. Brown for 5-6 min without stirring, then flip and continue for 10-12 min, stirring occasionally. Season and set aside.

Cook the carrots: in the same skillet, sauté carrots for 6-8 min until tender. Set aside.

Cook the beef: increase heat, add remaining oil and ground beef. Crumble and brown for 5-6 min. Add onion, sweat for 3-4 min, then garlic for 1 min.

Assembly: return potatoes and carrots to the skillet with the meat. Gently mix and cook for 4-5 min to blend flavors. Taste and adjust seasoning.

Finishing: off heat, stir in chopped herbs. Serve immediately hot.

- Dry the potatoes well for perfect caramelization.
- Don't overcrowd the skillet to avoid steaming.
- Let the beef brown well before stirring for more flavor.
- For softer carrots, cook them with the potatoes.
