These no-crust mini quiches are a quick and tasty version of the traditional quiche. Perfect for appetizers, they take 10 minutes to prepare and 25 minutes to bake. A very easy and moderately priced recipe.

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a hot pan, fry the bacon bits until golden and crispy. Drain them on paper towels to remove excess fat. Set aside.

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the fresh cream. Season with salt, pepper and a pinch of nutmeg if you like. Mix well to obtain a homogeneous texture.

Incorporate the golden bacon bits and grated cheese into the egg-cream mixture. Stir lightly to distribute the ingredients evenly.

Lightly butter muffin tins or use silicone cups. Pour the mixture into each cavity, filling 3/4 full.

Bake the mini quiches for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden and soft inside.

Let cool for 5 minutes before carefully unmolding.

- For a more elegant presentation, use individual silicone molds or parchment paper cups.
- Add fresh herbs such as parsley, chives or dill to the preparation for a fresh touch.
- Add a spoonful of thick cream or a little extra melted cheese on top before baking for an even creamier result.
- Incorporate diced grilled peppers, cooked spinach or sautéed mushrooms for a more colorful and flavorful version.
