- 1
Melt the butter gently in a small saucepan or in the microwave. Let it cool until liquid but not hot.
- 2
In a large bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs vigorously until you get a pale and slightly foamy mixture.
- 3
Add the melted butter in a stream while continuing to mix to obtain a homogeneous and smooth preparation.
- 4
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Incorporate them gradually into the preparation, mixing gently with a spatula to avoid lumps.
- 5
Add the milk gradually while mixing to obtain a smooth, homogeneous and well-blended batter.
- 6
Lightly butter an Airfryer-compatible mold (16-18 cm in diameter). Pour the batter into it and smooth the surface slightly with a spatula.
- 7
Brush the surface of the cake with honey for a shiny effect, then generously sprinkle with slivered almonds.
- 8
Preheat your Airfryer to 160°C. Place the mold in the basket and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting the tip of a knife in the center: it should come out clean.
- 9
Let the cake cool in the mold for 10 minutes before unmolding. Wait until it has cooled completely before slicing.

- Use a silicone mold: it slides easily into the Airfryer and makes unmolding easier.
- Replace the honey with 2 tablespoons of slightly warmed apricot jam for a different glaze and a fruity flavor.
- If the top browns too quickly, cover the cake with a small piece of aluminum foil to finish cooking without burning the almonds.
