- 1
In a bowl, vigorously mix the melted butter and sugar until you get a smooth, homogeneous and shiny mixture. This incorporates air for a softer cake.
- 2
Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition until the batter is creamy and homogeneous.
- 3
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually incorporate them into the batter, mixing gently with a spatula to avoid overworking the dough.
- 4
Gradually add the milk while mixing gently. The batter should be smooth, flexible and without lumps.
- 5
Generously butter an Airfryer-compatible cake tin. Pour in the batter and smooth the top with a spatula.
- 6
Preheat the Airfryer to 160°C. Place the tin in the basket and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the top is golden and slightly firm.
- 7
Check for doneness by inserting a knife in the center: it should come out clean. Extend baking for 2-3 minutes if needed.
- 8
Let the cake rest in the tin for 10 minutes before unmolding. Place it on a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

- Take the eggs and milk out in advance so they are at room temperature. This allows for better incorporation of ingredients and a more homogeneous result.
- Replace whole milk with fermented milk (like Ribot) or liquid yogurt for an even softer cake with a slightly tangy flavor.
- If the top of the cake browns too quickly, cover it with a small piece of aluminum foil towards the end of baking to prevent burning while keeping the inside tender.
